I am currently in my final year of a dual bachelor of Journalism and Arts degree at the University of Queensland, with the strong ambition of building a career in fashion and lifestyle journalism. I consider my written and verbal communication skills, as well as my creative aptitude, as my strongest traits. I have vast experience in roles of customer service and consider myself a professional, friendly and reliable worker. Furthermore, as I am part of a dual-nationality family I am fluent in both English and Indonesian – a skill I am very proud of.

Topshop Brisbane November 2013 – February 2014
Christmas Casual – Retail Sales Assistant
Involved in the opening of Topshop Brisbane. The main focus of this role was ensuring that customers’ needs were met and that they left the store satisfied with their experience whilst maintaining the Topshop brand. Strong customer service skills, personalised styling, knowledge of fashion trends and ability to hit sale-targets were key attributes in this role.

New Idea Magazine August 2013
Intern
Completed a week of work experience at New Idea Magazine. This included sourcing of images, assisting at a photo shoot, attending and contributing to news meetings, sorting in the fashion cupboard, creating news photo slideshows for an online gallery, writing of captions, transcribing interviews and a range of admin tasks.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival(Sydney and Brisbane) August 2013

Successfully applied and completed a week of volunteer work at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival in both Sydney and Brisbane. Responsibilities included:
• Steam/Iron garments
• Allocate outfits to models
• Become familiarised with the designer’s garments and styling
• Refer to reference pictures from the designer to dress and style models
• Dress models in a quick and quiet manner
